本年度は新型コロナウイルスの影響のため、当初予定していた諸本調査を十分に実施することができなかった。しかし、昨年度の研究成果を論文にまとめたり、収集済みの資料の分析を進めたりと、当初の研究予定に沿った実現可能な研究を実施した。その成果として、大塩平八郎物実録の諸本系統を明らかにする論文を公刊できた。本論文は大塩平八郎物実録の全体像を初めて見通した論文であり、今後の実録研究の基礎文献としての役割を果たすものと思われる。あわせて、実録の世界で大塩平八郎がどのような人物として描かれているのかを分析した論文を発表し、大塩が実録の世界では好意的に描かれていないことを指摘した。さらに、明治時代の刊行物に注目し、近代に入っても、特に講談の分野で大塩平八郎の物語が生産され続けている実態を明らかにした。これらの研究成果によって、今まで未検討であった大塩平八郎物実録を研究の俎上に載せるとともに、実録の基礎研究の深化に貢献できたと考える。また、慶安太平記物（由井正雪物）実録については『油井根元記』群から『武駿賊乱記』を経て『慶安太平記』群に至る系統と、『油井根元記』群から『由井正雪物語』群と『望遠雑録』に派生する系統が存在することが分かった。また、先行研究で見逃されていた『武駿賊乱記』が重要な位置を占めることも判明した。この成果は論文として発表する予定である。また、明治期に刊行された『絵本慶安太平記』を検討した結果、実録の流れを汲むものと独自の物語を付け加えたものが存在し、明治期においても実録のテクストが固定化しなかった可能性が浮かび上がった。この検討によって、明治期における実録の伝播の実態を明らかにする手がかりが得られた。
