2020年の8月から12月末まで、昨年度に引き続き、ドイツのミュンスター大学のドイツ文学科にて研究滞在を行なった。4月から渡航までの間は、感染症拡大の影響によりやむをえず日本にて研究を進めざるを得なかったため、資料不足などにより予定していた成果を出すことができなかった。しかしながら、8月6日から7日にかけてミュンスターにて行われたグリンメルスハウゼン学会では、研究対象であるバロックの作家グリンメルスハウゼンに関する研究成果の発表を聴講することができ、昨年度の学会と同様に良い学びの時となった。また、多くの権威ある研究者らとの交流は、今後の研究を進めていくうえでの指針を与えるものであった。図書館等の使用も制限され、資料にアクセスすることが難しく、思うような研究成果があげられなかった。そうしたなかで、修士論文で扱った題材に大きく修正を加え、東京大学の独文科が発行する機関紙『詩・言語』に投稿し、査読にて掲載の許可が出た段階である。ここで扱った題材はグリンメルスハウゼンの代表作品『阿呆物語』が持つ、「信仰の書」としての側面であり、ヘッセルマン教授からこのテーマについて指導・添削を受けることができた。残念ながら学会発表には参加することができなかったため、新年度の課題としたい。博士論文の執筆状況に関しては、計画通りの進捗が見られず、大学院側に提出する予備論文の執筆も非常に遅れていたが、研究滞在中に収集した資料に基づき分析を進め、博士論文の骨格を作ることができた。ここで完成した予備論文にさらに情報を追加し、さらに東京大学大学院の山本准教授（中世文学専門）やミュンスター大学のペーター・ヘッセルマン教授の指導を参考にしつつ、遅くとも来年度までには提出段階で予定している分量を書き上げる予定である。
