経済成長理論の分野で次の2つの研究を行った。1つ目の研究では、スーパースター企業の台頭が実質利子率や資本蓄積に与える影響について分析した。先進各国では過去数十年にわたって実質利子率が低下している。また、最近の実証研究では、企業の市場シェアの集中度が増加し、それによって投資需要が弱くなったことが指摘されている。そこで本研究では、生産性の分布の変化が実質利子率や資本蓄積に与える影響を理論モデルを用いて分析した。分析の結果、企業間の生産性の差の拡大が、その企業の市場シェアを増加させることを通して、実質利子率の低下を引き起こすことがわかった。また、この変化によって、資本が社会的に最適な水準と比べて過剰に蓄積される場合があることがわかった。加えて、米国のデータを用いてシミュレーションを行い、企業の間の生産性の差の拡大が利子率に与えた影響を分析した。2つ目の研究では、人口成長率が地域間の所得水準の収束に与える影響について分析を行った。一部の地域で著しい人口減少が起きている日本の都道府県レベルや市町村レベルのデータを用いて分析を行った。分析の結果、所得水準が低い地域のほうが所得水準が高い地域よりも経済成長率が高い収束の現象が確かめられた一方で、人口減少が著しい地域では収束の傾向が緩やかであることがわかった。また、1995年以前は人口減少とその地域の経済成長率に有意な関係は見られなかったが、1995年以降は人口減少がその地域の経済成長率にマイナスの影響を与えていたことがわかった。

However, due to this change, there are many occasions where capital is accumulated at the optimal level of society and is excessively concentrated. The impact of the increase in productivity and the increase in profitability of enterprises is analyzed. 2. Research on population growth rate and regional income levels A regional analysis of population shortage in Japan The results of the analysis show that the income level is low, the income level is high, the growth rate is high, and the trend of population shortage is slow. Before 1995, the economic growth rate of the region under population was significantly affected by the economic growth rate of the region under population since 1995.
