项目摘要

本研究は皇祖神天照、天照を祀る伊勢神宮が、古代・中世初期の王権（天皇）といかなる関係を構築したか解明することを目的とする。本年度は第一に平安時代の斎宮寮の分析、第二に後期摂関期・院政期の神鏡（三種の神器の一つである鏡）の検討、③古代から院政期にかけての皇位継承儀礼・レガリアの特徴とその実態の分析を進めた。第一の課題について、伊勢神宮に奉仕する斎王を支える官司である斎宮寮に注目した。斎宮寮の平安時代前期における行財政面での特徴を論じ、光仁～嵯峨朝（天智系皇統）の王権が伊勢斎王制度を発展させた一方、淳和朝以降の王権では本制度の意義が低下したことを論じた。この研究は以前学会報告を行ったものだが、近年の研究成果や政治史に関わる新たな見解を盛り込んで成文化した。また、平安時代中後期の斎宮寮の分析も進め、10世紀中後期以降、斎宮寮は次第に伊勢神宮（祭主―宮司）と行財政面での結合を強め、この結合が後期摂関期における伊勢神郡内での相論に影響を与えていた事情が明確になった。第二の課題について、昨年度の学会報告をもとに論文「平安時代中後期の神鏡を巡る祭祀・信仰」を執筆し、雑誌『古代文化』への掲載が決定した。本論文により平安時代の神鏡祭祀の全体像が明らかになった。また、神鏡が後期摂関期に内裏鎮守神の性格を獲得し、内裏は諸神に守護される古代的空間から天照に守護される中世的空間へ変化することを論じた。この分析成果は論文「平安時代の内裏と神鏡の移動」として雑誌に投稿した（審査中）。第三の課題について、桓武・平城朝において従来の鏡剣（天照など神話と関わる）を献上する皇位継承儀礼が廃止され、神璽という唐風のレガリアが導入される経緯、後鳥羽朝までに鏡剣璽の三つが天照（神話）に関わる「三種の神器」として一括される経緯を明確にした。その成果は史学会大会で「日本古代の即位儀礼と「神璽」」という題で報告した。

This study focuses on the construction of the relationship between the emperor's ancestors, the emperor, and the emperor in the early Middle Ages. The second topic was written by the author of the paper "The Divine Mirror in the Middle and Late Heian Period" and the publication of the paper "Ancient Culture". This paper is about the whole image of the shrine of Heian era. In the late period, the gods guarded the ancient space, and in the middle period, the gods guarded the ancient space. The results of this analysis were submitted to the paper "Inside the Peaceful Era and the Movement of the Divine Mirror"(under review).
