项目摘要

本年度は、前年度の研究成果をふまえ、基礎研究に力を注ぐ一方、研究の最終年度である次年度以降への継続性を確保すべく、より発展的な視座を得ることを目ざした。『河海抄』の複雑な異文状況が、同時代の歴史認識の問題と不可分に生じたものであることを解明する研究として、本研究課題においては、従来注目されてこなかった『河海抄類字』をとりあげ、事業期間全体をとおして研究してゆく計画をたてているが、国立国会図書館、宮内庁書陵部、東京大学総合図書館の資料複写提供の協力を得て研究を進め、論文「近世の『河海抄』」を執筆し、学会誌に投稿、現在査読中である。この論文は、本研究期間における当該テーマにかんする第一論文「『河海抄類字』について―『河海抄』のゆくえ―」（『国語と国文学』2020年6月）の研究成果をうけ、とくに、近世期の、藩の学校をふくむ学問世界において、『河海抄』が無視できない役割を担っていた可能性について考察を深め、『源氏物語』注釈書として終焉した後、この書がどのように生きたかという問題を、当時の出版状況等にも目くばりしながらあきらかにすることをこころみたものである。藩の学校は、従来の研究では、現在に伝えられる当時のカリキュラム的なものに照らして、漢籍が学修の中心と考えられてきた。そのなかで、虚構の物語作品の注釈書である『河海抄』が役を果たしていたことを、『河海抄類字』の存在から具体的に究明し、その検証として中世の教養の基盤を問いなおす研究に向かった成果が、「漢字世界のなかの『源氏物語』注釈」（三国志学会編『三国志論集』2023年9月刊行予定）である。これらの研究をとおして、『河海抄』および『河海抄類字』が、日本文学のみならず、史学、教育学の分野にも資する重要な資料であることを提起しながら、その生きた空間を具体的に問う研究を、研究の最終年度に向けて継続してゆく見とおしを得た。
