令和二年関西外国語大学『研究論集第111号』に「耐婚・離婚・復婚ー女性禁酒物語作家の結婚観」と題した論文を投稿。多くの女性作家の作品に見られる結婚観を三つの型に分類、それぞれを様々なテクストを分析しながら比較考察した。あまり知られていない女流禁酒物語作家にスポットをあて、禁酒物語をつうじてジェンダーギャップを論じた。令和三年にはそれまでの禁酒物語研究の総括として単著『ボトルと涙ー19世紀アメリカ禁酒物語論」（金星堂）を上梓。第一部では、アメリカ文化における酒のもつ意味、飲酒・禁酒の文化史、禁酒運動における禁酒物語の位置づけを整理した。第二文ではこの分野の代表格T.S.アーサーの文学をスモールタウン小説、共依存等の概念を導入し長柄、初期から後期にわたる作品像全体を考察した。続く第三部ではハリエット・ストウの代表作『アンクル・トムの小屋』を禁酒物語として読み直し、彼女の作品群を家庭性（ドメスティシティ）の視点から統一的に考察した。第四部では女性禁酒物語作家を積極的に取り上げながら、禁酒物語にひそむジェンダーの問題を分析した。その際、当時社会問題化しつうあった離婚論争に禁酒物語がどう取り組んだか、あるいは伏在する男性性保持の問題等を切り口にして、本質的に家庭の物語である禁酒物語に見いだされるジェンダーギャップの問題を浮き彫りにした。
