项目摘要

本年度は、２つの研究課題から研究を進めた。1)言語類型論の視点から見た日本語のアラインメント変化：現代日本語は典型的な主格・対格型（以下、対格型）言語であるが、上代日本語（8世紀頃）は、言語類型的に活格型とよばれる格システムの特徴をもつ。主語を標示する「ガ」は現代語では主格であるが、上代日本語では名詞句の所有者あるいは名詞化節の主語を標示する属格でありその形態的、意味的、統語的特徴は活格の振る舞いをする。すなわち日本語ではアラインメントが活格型から対格型へと変化したことになる　(Yanagida and Whitman (2009)参照)。アラインメント変化の研究は歴史資料が存在するインド・イラン語派の能格から対格型への変化の研究が最も重要な役割を果たしてきた。インド・イラン語派では、アラインメント変化の起源は、史的ヴォイス交替（i.e.,受動態から能格型他動詞への変化）であるというのが有力な説になっている。こうした言語類型論の観点から、日本語史におけるアラインメントの変化がなぜ起こったかを調査するため、8世紀から16世紀にかけての広範な歴史資料を調査し実証研究を進めてきた。2)非典型格表示構文の出現：歴史資料（特に室町時代の狂言）の調査から「非典型的格標示構文」は、アラインメント変化の付帯現象として16世紀以降に出現したことを示した。またインド・イラン語派の非典型格標示構文の特徴を調べ、インド・イラン語派の非典型的格標示構文の出現にアラインメント変化がどのように関係しているかについて先行研究を精査し、非典型標示構文の出現とアラインメント変化の類型的比較研究を行い、言語変化の普遍性と個別性について考察した。本研究はJournal of Historical Linguisticsにて出版された。

This year, 2 research topics were discussed. 1)The perspective of speech type theory is to see the characteristics of Japanese language: modern Japanese language is typical of the nominative case, the case type (below, the case type) speech, the Japanese language of the previous generation (since the 8th century), the case type of speech, the case type of speech. A preliminary study on the characteristics of atypical case marker structure of the English language school, the occurrence of atypical case marker structure of the English language school, the relationship between the occurrence of atypical case marker structure and the occurrence of atypical case marker structure, the comparison of the types of occurrence of atypical case marker structure, the universality and individuality of speech transformation. This study was published in the Journal of Historical Linguistics.
