今年度も前年度に続き、新型コロナウィルス感染症の影響によって十分な調査を進めることができなかった。具体的には閲覧者に人数制限を設けていた東京大学史料編纂所への出張・調査が実施できなかったことはやはり大きかった。コロナ禍に対応するため、既に国立国会図書館での文献調査に研究の比重を移していたが、2022年度もこの方針に基づき、比較的条件が緩やかになった国会図書館および国立公文書館内閣文庫の調査を中心に実施した。国会図書館の調査は地域的には四国各地の自治体史・史料編を中心に、また太閤検地の実施に携わった豊臣家奉行人の活動が分かる史資料に焦点をあてた調査をおこなった。国立公文書館の内閣文庫も同様に、四国・淡路関係の資料を中心に調査し、当時淡路にいた脇坂家に関連する「烈祖垂統編」などを写真集録した。この他、兵庫県明石市にある兵庫県立図書館では旧淡路・播磨・但馬などの地域史料について、調査をおこない、当該地域の太閤検地および朝鮮出兵に関する有用な史料を数多く入手することができた。調査の成果としては、一般書となるが、人物叢書『黒田孝高』の刊行および、佐賀県立名護屋城博物館の研究紀要に、四国地域において太閤検地実施と表裏の関係をなす朝鮮出兵の問題をまとめ論文化した。特に前者『黒田孝高』では、黒田領国の検地に関わって、これまで言及されたことのなかった豊前と豊後の境をめぐる諸問題を分析した。国郡制の枠組みは、太閤検地の国家史的意義を考える上で、極めて重要であり、本科研の大きな成果といえよう。
