ガラス乾板そのものに関わる研究に加えて、永野が活躍した戦後期の奈良の歴史や文化財、文化に関する動向を考察することが大きな柱の一つであるが、今年度はその領域の研究が主要な位置を占めた。この点で大きな意義を持つと思われるのが月刊紙『奈良県観光』である。前年度より、研究代表者を中心に、記事のデータベース化（情報の抽出と入力）を進めてきた。各号の個々の記事について、属性を調査し、入力したものである。前年までの成果をふまえ、データを集積する段階から公開の段階にむけて、正確を期するための再確認の作業や種々の定型的な記述の統一などの必要があり、それを進めた。そのなかで、永野太造に関する貴重な情報も得られた。また、1点1点の記事が当時の奈良の文化的な状況全体を示す情報であることが強く感じられた。研究分担者はガラス乾板そのもののデータベース化を進めた。基本的な骨組みはおおむね完成し、さらに情報を付加し情報量の拡大に取り組む段階となった。研究代表者はより大きく奈良（大和）の古代史全体を見通すべく、著書『古代大和の氏族と社会』および論文を発表した。著書の原稿作成に当事業の研究成果を活用したが、刊行について、帝塚山学園学術研究等出版助成を受けた。著書は奈良県下の大学・研究機関・自治体立図書館などに広く利用に供するように依頼し、寄贈した。また、一般向けの公開講座（帝塚山大学奈良学総合文化研究所主催　奈良学への招待21　「大和の山と山部・山君」）を行った。奈良の観光資源や文化財として古代の天皇の陵墓は著名なものであるが、奈良の寺院もそのような文化・観光をめぐる動向のなかで活動をしてきた。帝塚山大学所蔵の関係史資料をも利用しながら、陵墓をめぐる研究を進めるべく、資料の購入などを行った。
