2020ー2021年度は、コロナ禍にあって、各地でのニホンミツバチの伝統養蜂の映像撮影は行うことができなかったが、本年度は、１）　長野県伊那地方を中心に、フィールド調査および映像撮影が進んだ。長野では現代に残る伝統養蜂の調査・資料収集に、本年度は13回訪問。1990年代に地域の養蜂を調査した地元高校教諭の方のご協力も得て、30年前との養蜂の変化という視点で、調査および映像撮影ができたことは大きな成果である。伊那地方は、養蜂巣箱の形態や標高による植生の差等による養蜂技術の地域差があり、全国の中での当該地の地域性も明確になった。本年度撮影・編集した映像は、次年度に公開予定である。また、長野の伝統養蜂の変化は日本民俗学会で発表行った（甘）。２）　江戸時代末から第2次世界大戦前の、養蜂の歴史について、①古文書（地方文書）、②行政統計、③書籍、④養蜂関連雑誌を収集し、さらに研究を進めた。長野県伊那市では、今まで翻刻されていなかった養蜂関連の古文書も実見・撮影させていただき、翻刻を行った。全国の行政統計からは各都道府県別に、明治期に移入されたセイヨウミツバチの養蜂の拡大状況、ニホンミツバチ養蜂の現状をデータ化した。養蜂史は、畜産史の中でも先行研究の極めて少ない分野であり、注目すべきデータも得られたため、今後、論文化していく。３）ニホンミツバチは従来、病害虫に強いと言われてきたが、2010年代よりアカリンダニによる被害が全国で広まっている。山間地域で伝統養蜂を行っている高齢者は、こうした新しい情報にアクセスすることがなく、対策も行っていない人もいることが、フィールド調査の聞き取りの過程でわかってきた。セイヨウミツバチへの病害虫対策同様、ニホンミツバチの病害虫対策の周知・制度整備、蜜源植物の保全など、ミツバチの健康を'One Health'として考えるべきことを学会で発表した（真貝）。
