2022年度は、2020・2021年度と同様に、新型コロナ感染症拡大防止のため、対面での研究会の開催を避け、オンラインでJET（Japanese Economic Thought）研究会、その他メール会議を行った。当該年度の研究の大半を占めているのは、経済思想史分野における有力誌The European Journal of the History of Economic Thoughtに2022年6月14日付で投稿した論文の改訂・再投稿作業である。投稿当初の構想は、市場の効率性に関する考えをもっていたとされる19世紀初頭のイギリス経済学者ローダーデールの学説を、山片蟠桃の『大知弁』での学説と対比させることで、後者の持つ優位性や特殊性をつまびらかにすることであった（ディスカッション・ペーパー“Efficient Market Theorists in the Early Nineteenth Century: The Earl of Lauderdale (1759-1839) and Yamagata Banto; (1748-1821)”）。しかし投稿先のレフリー・コメントを受け、次のように研究の方針を改めた。まずは19世紀後半以降のフランスにおける効率市場仮説の歴史的系論に関する研究論文を再検討し、次にその系譜の先駆に蟠桃学説を位置づけつつ彼固有の貢献をクローズアップさせることにした（ディスカッション・ペーパー“The Role of Information in the Rice Exchange: Yamagata Banto's Great Knowledge (1806)”）。結果として、この論文は投稿先のジャーナルに受理され、年度末にオンラインで先行公表された。
