项目摘要

2022年度はアーカイブ調査やフィールド調査、対面での会議実施が可能になり、次のような研究成果を得ることができた。共同研究において、炭鉱における朝鮮人、女性、および囚人の動員、配置および管理様式のインターセクショナリティ分析を進めつつ、帝国下のConfined spaces（制限された空間）における労働する身体管理に関心を深化させた。Asian Studies Conference Japan会議（7月3日）および名古屋大学ジェンダーリサーチライブラリー学術講演会（12月7日）では、筑豊と北海道の炭鉱労働に加え、遊郭、ハンセン病施設の研究者とともにパネル発表を行い、労働する身体（とその再生産）への管理側の関心を当時の衛生論や人種論に即し、より多角的かつ総合的に把握する方向性を示した。対面による準備会合を4月24日（ウィングス京都）、5月22日（福岡女子大学）、6月25日（早稲田大学）、7月29日（名古屋大学）、オンラインで11月2日、11月11日、11月15日、11月26日、12月4日に実施した。個別の研究状況としては、九州北部の中小炭鉱企業組合の史料分析から、ジェンダー化、人種化された坑夫の言説的構築について考察を深めた（代表者）。明治期北海道での炭鉱労働に関しては、囚人労働の交差点を中心に、以下の3つの視点より史料収集、研究を展開した。①囚人労働とはどのようなものだったのか、歴史と労働の実態を把握する。②日本資本主義発展の中での囚人労働とはどんな役割を果たしたのか。③1903年の北海道での全面廃止、もしくは、大牟田の場合、1930年に向けて誰がどのような方法で囚人労働環境改善や廃止に貢献したのかという点である。2022年度は、前年度に焦点を当ててきた①と③の考察を、学会を通じて他の研究者と共有しながら、論文執筆・刊行することができた（分担者）。
