本研究は，乳幼児とその親の応答的な相互交渉を促進するわらべうたやオノマトペを取り入れたリトミックプログラムの開発を第1の目的としており，開発したプログラムの実践を通して3歳未満児の乳幼児とその養育者の相互交渉に及ぼす影響の検討を第2の目的としている。令和元年研究初年度は，3歳未満児とその養育者を対象とした親子密着のリトミックを用いた心理教育プログラムを開発した。令和2年度研究2年目は，初年度に開発したリトミックプログラムを対面にて実施予定であったが，コロナ禍の影響を受け対面によるセッションを断念した。対面の他にオンラインでのリトミックセッションの可能性を模索したが，一連のセッションの事前事後の親子相互の関わりの確認が困難であるため，オンライン実施も断念した。令和3年度研究3年目は，コロナ禍の合間を縫って3歳未満児親子を対象としたプログラムが初めて実施できたが，被験者数は当初計画の半数にも届いてはいない。対面プログラムに加えて，広く一般の3歳未満児親子200組を対象にWEB調査による親子間の応答的相互交渉に関する量的調査を実施した。令和4年度研究4年目は，再び，コロナ禍の再燃により，対面でのリトミックプログラム実施が叶わなかった。が一方で，令和3年度に実施した対面によるリトミックプログラムおよびWEB調査委による親子の相互交渉調査，これらの成果を学会において発表することができた。しかしながら，未だ，研究の本義としている対面によるリトミックプログラム実施が機能していないため，令和5年度は当初4年計画の研究を延長し，リトミックプログラムの対面実施を行い，研究成果に繋げる予定である。
