本課題では、研究開発学校の成果を、資質・能力の育成や教科等の再編成をはじめとした様々な観点で再分析を行い、新しい教育課程の在り方を提案するとともに、各学校におけるカリキュラムデザインやカリキュラム開発（SBCD）の具体的手法を明らかにし支援する。研究4年目である本年度は、昨年度・一昨年度に引き続き過去指定を受けた、現在指定を受けている研究開発学校の中から該当する学校（群）を洗い出す作業を行うとともに、報告書の入手を進めた。コロナ禍のため学校訪問は数校にとどまったが、オンラインによる意見交換を数校と行い、カリキュラム設計の指針を共有するとともに、新教科等の具体的な授業の進め方について、情報収集と情報交換を行った。
