一般市民の科学リテラシーについて，科学全般の用語・概念の理解の調査は定期的に行われているものの，個別科学技術分野や科学的方法の理解に焦点を当てた調査は少ない．本研究では，日本の20歳～70歳代の男女を対象に，個別科学技術分野（音分野）の用語・概念の理解および科学的方法の理解の調査を行う．今年度は，研究発表に向けて，昨年度実施したインターネット調査の結果を精査した．まず，回答時間に注目し，不良回答を除外した，次に，参加者の属性と令和2年度国勢調査の結果を比較し，データの代表性について確認した．インターネット調査の特性として不可避ではあるものの，本調査においても回答者属性に若干の偏りが見られた．不良回答を除く696名のデータについて，昨年度の簡易分析と同様に，相関分析および因子分析を行った．諸分野への興味，日頃の行動・態度，科学に関する考え方と，科学全般および音分野の知識，科学的方法の知識の間の相関を分析したところ，諸分野への興味と日頃の行動・態度の間，および科学全般の知識，音分野の知識，科学的方法の知識の間に，正の相関が見られた．因子分析では，諸分野への興味，日頃の行動・態度，科学に関する考え方を尋ねた41の質問項目を使って，6つの因子（好奇心，論理重視，権威受容，情報収集，疑似科学，科学の価値の肯定）を抽出することができた．これらの因子と科学全般の知識，音分野の知識，科学的方法の知識の間の相関を調べたところ，いずれも，好奇心，論理重視，情報収集，科学の価値の肯定との間に弱い正の相関が見られた．
