当初注目していた関孝和の『病題明致之法』に関して上野健爾氏（四日市大学関孝和数学研究所）からの教示も受け現代語訳を完成した．その成果は岩波書店から2023年10月刊行予定の『関孝和全集』に含まれる．関流以外の流派の考察として昨年度に続き宅間流の数学を採り上げた．研究の対象としたのは宅間流において最も多くの著作を残した岡之只（1791--？）である．昨年度検討した『起術解路法定例』，『遷式術』に続いて，本年度は田中紀子氏（奈良学園大学）とともに『妙矩集』，『起術解路法』を検討した．大半は平面幾何の問題で，江戸時代の数学の典型で，未知数消去などにおいて独特の工夫があるとはいえ，関の方程式論は宅間流に格段の影響を与えていなかったことがわかる．これは宅間流に限ったことではない．方程式論における関の問題意識は近世日本においては理解されず，また共有もされなかった．関の方程式論の独創性，革新性というのはそれを引き継ぎ発展させる者が現れ得ない孤高の成果であった．本年度は京都大学数理解析所・共同研究集会「数学史の研究」を代表として開催し，その報告書『講究録別冊』のエディターとして査読，編集を行った．学会では日本数学会（北海道大学，中央大学）に出席，講演をした．またセミナー活動としては数学史京都セミナー（毎月1回）ヘの参加，第2期数学史名古屋セミナー（毎月2回）の開催をした．論文としては『郭書春先生記念論文集』，『数学文化』への寄稿および『数学史研究』への投稿を行った．『郭書春先生記念論文集』への論文「算額地理学」は上海交通大学の薩日娜教授に中国語に翻訳していただいた．関の方程式論に関して，高校生，中高の教員向き原稿を作り，現在暁高校の生徒に読んでもらっている．その評価を得て改訂し，2023年度に冊子としてまとめる予定である．

The Society of Mathematics of Japan (Hokkaido University, Chuo University) attended and lectured. The 2nd issue of History of Mathematics Nagoya (twice a month) is open for participation in the Kyoto Thesis "Guo Shuchun Memorial Essays Collection,""Mathematical Culture" and "Mathematical History Research" "Guo Shuchun Memorial Papers Collection" paper "Quantitative Geography" by Professor Sa Rina of Shanghai Jiaotong University in China language translation. About the equation theory, college students, middle and high school teachers to the original text, now college students to the original text. The 2023 Annual Report was revised.
