がん診療連携拠点病院内のピアサポーターの役割、がん相談員、他部門・他機関との協働、および支援を受けたがん患者や家族の支援内容と心理社会的な変化を明らかにすることを目的としている。本年度は機縁法で紹介を受けたがんピアサポートの実績が高いNPO法人へ調査を依頼したが、不承諾であった。そのため、地域統括総合支援センターのがん相談員およびピアサポーターへのインタビューを行った。地域統括総合支援センターは設立から9年目であり、県の委託事業として行われていた。インタビュー場所は地域統括総合支援センターの個室で行い、インタビュー時間は51分～82分であった。がん相談員は5名のうち3名インタビューを行った。がん相談員は保健師、看護師、医療社会福祉士の資格を有し、がん相談員基礎研修を受講していた。がん相談経験年数は、1年から7年で、全員女性であった。ピアサポーターは、がんの診断から約10年が経ち、現在は治療はしていなかった。また、ピアサポーター基礎講座とフォロアップ研修を受講しており、ピアサポート歴は8年、女性であった。相談は対面と電話で行われていた。両者の活動内容は、がんサロン（交流会、セミナーや講座、個別相談、家族支援）、相談内容は、仕事や家族関係、自分自身の心の変化などであった。がん相談員とピアサポーターは必ず二人で相談に入ることで、それぞれの強みを生かし連携していた。また、相談内容は他のがん相談員とも共有し、患者や家族が継続して相談ができるような体制を整えていた。さらに困難事例については、カンファレンスを行い、対応を検討していた。また、がん診療拠点病院、産業保健センター、ハローワーク、地域がんサロン、市町保健センター、行政、患者会と連携していた。がん相談員は専任であったが、ピアサポーターは、地域統括がん相談センター以外に地域のがんサロン、中学校（がん教育）でも活動していた。
