本研究では、高齢者を対象に足趾運動とバランス感覚との関連性を分析し、足趾運動指導を介入することの意義について明らかにすることを目的としている。昨年に引き続き、地域在住高齢者に対しての調査ならびに足趾運動の介入研究を継続実施した。初回調査時に毎日実施する足趾運動について説明後実際に行い、足趾運動実施チェックカレンダーを配布することを行い、3ヶ月後に2回目の調査を実施した。対象者の設定を200名以上としていたが、足趾10秒テスト、足趾挟力・足趾握力、開眼片脚起立、立ち上がりテスト、2ステップテストについて介入前後のデータが合計209名について得られた。介入に対する継続群（107名）と非継続群（102名）において、転倒リスク評価、生活機能チェックリストの評価において有意な差は認められなかった。継続の有無別に足趾の屈伸運動トレーニングの介入前後おいて、足趾力の評価を行った。昨年は足趾運動機能評価を行い、運動継続群では足趾挟力と足趾握力が有意に改善したこと（いずれもp<0.001）を示した。今回はロコモ評価（2ステップテスト、立ち上がりテスト）の分析を行った。2ステップテストでは両群に有意な差は認められなかった。立ち上がりテストにおいて足趾運動継続群では介入前の3.9±1.2に対して、介入後では4.1±1.3（平均値の差は，0.1±0.4）であり，介入後の値は介入前の値に比べて有意に改善した (p<0.01)。非継続群では，介入前が3.9±1.4、介入後では4.0±1.5であり、有意な変化を認めなかった(p=0.146)。今後はロコモ評価としてのロコモ25の分析、および開眼片足起立時間についてのデータ分析を進めていきたい。
