本申請課題の目的の１つとして、暑熱環境下での生理応答や自覚症状に関するICT機器を用いた情報収集（健康状態の一括把握）が挙げられる。そこで、暑熱環境下におけるスポーツ観戦現場でのフィールド調査を実施した。その結果、対象者から「定期的な情報送信自体が熱中症に対する自身への注意喚起となり、水分摂取を意識した」という回答を得た。また、情報収集することによって、対象者の健康状態を測定者が把握できることも確認できた。これらの結果から、ICT機器を用いた情報収集は熱中症予防になりうる可能性、教育現場などにおいて、引率教員などが児童・生徒の熱中症早期発見を可能にする示唆が得られたものと考える。一方で、新型コロナウィルスの影響（調査実施の制限）もあり、対象者数の少なさ、比較対象条件がないことなど、課題を抱えている。そのため、次年度は対象者数を増やし、データの妥当性を高めること、比較対象（情報収集の有無、観戦方法の違いなど）に関する調査を実施し、汎用性を高めることを行なっていく。また、「Effect of sauna bathing on sensory function and performance of tasks」を国際学会（European College of Sports Science 2022）にて発表を行った。暑熱環境下では、皮膚感覚の低下が起こっており、熱中症スクリーニングテストの測定項目として皮膚感覚刺激の有用性が示されたことを発表した。
