Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic it was not possible to conduct field research in Sri Lanka throughout AY2022.I published a short article: “Catholicism’s Overlooked Importance in Asia” The Diplomat, February 2022. In November of 2022, I presented my work at two academic conferences in the USA: the AAA Annual meeting held in Seattle, WA; and the AAR in Denver, CO. I organized the workshop “A Digital Humanities Approach to Asian Catholic Culture.” International workshop organized by the Social Science Research Institute of ICU in Tokyo. Co-sponsored by the Indian Ocean Knowledge Network (KINDOWS) of Kyoto University. Feb 16-17, 2023. I also presented my work here.I co-organized a series of roundtables held online via ZOOM, one of them on the role of religion during the financial crisis in Sri Lanka. I worked on my book manuscript and have arranged a contract for publication with University of Pitt Press.
