项目摘要

本研究の主だった研究実績としては、2022年に発表した論文「Lullaby, Travel, Nostalgia: Intersectional Soundscapes of Migrant Prostitutes in Southeast Asia」が挙げられる。これは『Proceedings of the 6th Symposium: The ICTM Study Group on the Performing Arts of Southeast Asia』に掲載されている。また、これまでに熊本大学、台南国立芸術大学、国立台湾大学、国立台湾師範大学などで、「からゆきさん」に関連した招待講演を行なってきた。学会発表としては国際伝統音楽評議会の東南アジア大会などで発表を行った。ただし、2020年度からはコロナの影響で現地調査などが全くできなかった。そのため本研究は、理論的な枠組みとしてTransborder Humanity、そして文化人類学におけるontological turnに関しての考察を進めた。これらの理論的研究は一定の成果を収め、Performing ontologiesに関するパネル発表を、昨年度ポルトガルのリスボンで開催された国際伝統音楽評議会世界大会で行った（オンラインで参加）。本年度は海外渡航も可能になったので、国際伝統音楽評議会の世界大会（アフリカのガーナで開催予定）で、「A Japanese Musical Instrument in Africa: Intersecting Journeys of Taishogoto and Karayuki-san」と題した発表を行う予定である。
