【内容】本年度は、ここ数年のコロナ禍の影響を受け、当初の計画では実施が難しくなった本研究課題の計画の変更・再検討を確実に遂行するために、資料調査を主な目的とした国内での調査を主軸に研究活動を行った。まず、研究計画の変更・再検討については、本研究が当初予定していた国外での調査活動や国外の考古遺物の分析資料としてのサンプリングが、コロナ禍での活動制限の影響を受けて研究機関の開始当初より実施できずにいたことを踏まえ、研究の対象や調査地を国内にシフトし製鉄関連資料の調査を実施した。これは国内に存在する国外遺跡での出土遺物の調査も含む。これらの調査を通じて、具体的にどのような資料を調査対象とできるのか、現実的な検討を行った。【意義と重要性】本研究は製鉄関連遺物や製鉄に関わる副産物の化学組成をもとに産地推定を行うことを目指したものであるため、分析することができる（サンプリング可能な）対象を把握し、その製作プロセスにおける製作地や原材料の産地などの情報をあらかじめ調査していくことが必要となる。なぜならこれらの情報をもとに分析結果の解析やデータの解釈を行う必要があるためである。本年度着手した調査は来年度実施する自然科学的分析調査の土台を築く意味での重要性と、今後の研究遂行の現実性を客観的に評価し、研究方法を検討する上でも大切な予備調査であると言える。様々な問題により研究計画を大幅に変更せざるを得ない状況ではあるが、本研究課題の本質的な意義を見失うことなく慎重に遂行していきたいと考えている。

[Significance] In this study, the chemical composition of iron-related relics and iron-related by-products was estimated, and the analysis was carried out. The analysis of the results is necessary. The significance of the construction of the soil for the analysis and investigation of natural sciences conducted in the past year, the evaluation of the feasibility of future research, and the discussion of research methods were discussed. The research plan is greatly improved, and the essential meaning of this research project is carefully carried out.
