本年度は、岐阜アパレル物流加工企業における産地ネットワーク組織の形成に関する研究と衣料品プレス加工企業の経営発展に関する研究を実施した。まず、岐阜アパレル物流加工企業の研究では、縮小する岐阜アパレル産地において、産地の産業基盤と立地の優位性を生かして、少数ではあるが好業績のアパレル物流加工企業が存在する。こうした優良アパレル物流加工企業の一つであるＦ社を事例として、その経営発展を経営史的に分析した。結論として、事例企業は、衣料品プレス加工専業から繊維加工を中心にした問題解決型ビジネスへと転換した。この事業転換の背景には、F社を中心とした産地企業の緩やかなネットワーク組織の形成があった。この産地ネットワーク組織は、特徴として異質な情報を入手するため、参加企業のその先にある取引先との関係を重視した。F社はネットワーク参加企業との連携とともに、ネットワーク外の異業種企業からの情報を基にした新しい価値創出の仕組みをつくりあげたことが、競争力の源泉となったことを明らかにした。次に、衣料品プレス加工企業の経営発展の研究では、岐阜アパレル産地のK社の組織能力の形成を経営史的に検討した。結論として、生業から企業へと経営発展をした背景として、創業者のアパレル事業の失敗があった。この経験を通じて、縫製技術と経営スキルを獲得できたできたことが創業期において重要であった。また、K社は、人的スキルを継続的に開発することで新たな人脈形成や信頼の獲得をするとともに、加工設備の導入や業務管理システムの構築など、物的スキルの開発に継続的な投資をした。このようにK社は、歴史的にマネジメントと人的・物的スキルに継続的投資をした結果、組織能力を構築できた。このことが、零細企業が多数を占める衣料品プレス加工業界において、例外的に企業規模を拡大し、競争力を構築できた要因であったことを明らかにした。
