项目摘要

研究実績の概要　本研究は、男性不妊に関連して、医学知識を動員して男性性を回復・復権させるメディア言説を分析することで、男性学が抱える課題を克服し、現代社会における男性性の規範的な在りようの一端を解明するものである。これをめぐって、医療言説がどのように男性性の回復を志し、男性性の再強化がどう起こるのかを解明する。本年度は、昨年度に引き続き、物語内に現れる男性不妊の描写を分析するために、文学研究者からの知見も得るため合同の研究会を3度実施した（うち１回はオンライン）。男性学の知見にたいし、文学者がどのように切り込むのか意見交換をし、社会科学への応用を検討した。その知見を活かし、今年度中に論文を１本執筆する予定である。上記の件は、社会状況（メディアの移り変わり）の変化によるものであり、研究計画当初から少し路線を変更して対応せざるを得ない新しいトピックであったため、かつ申請者にとって研究分野外の知見を必要としたため、研究手法の更新が必要となる部分があり、進捗が芳しくないのが実情である。しかし、前年度までに得ていた知見である、資料の内容分析から結果、医療雑誌の言説の方が旧来の男性性の回復に強い興味を示し、一般書の方がこの点について柔軟な態度を示していること、媒体の性質によってその強度が変化する点が鮮明となったことの延長線上で検討できるものと考えている。物語に組み込む場合にも、既存言説の焼き増し（ステレオタイプ化）は免れておらず、媒体特性を分析すれば、当初の目的から大きく外れることはないと思われる。
