项目摘要

本年度は、当初の研究計画では最終年度なので、①本研究計画の第一の目的である、何故、電子部品は国際競争力を獲得できたかという問題の解明についてのカギとなる、高度成長期のイノベーション・システムと中堅企業の形成についての論文を完成すること、②第二の研究目的である、何故、電子部品は強い国際競争力を今日なお維持できているのかという問題の解明、に取り組んだ。その結果、①については、イノベーションのうち製造イノベーションと中堅企業の形成について論文を完成したが、製品イノベーションについては論文の公表にはいたらなかった。その大きな理由は年度の秋から冬にかけて新型コロナ感染症の影響で資料収集が順調には進まなかったことである。しかし、研究成果の面では、異なるインセンティブをもつ大手統合企業と関連企業の競合がイノベーションと産業ダイナミズムのカギであるという重要な発見を公表できた。②については、当初計画より遅れたが企業の現状調査を行った。遅れたことはかえって思わぬ効果を生んだ。新型コロナ感染症で調査は遅れたが、その間、東北大学所蔵の電子部品企業資料の分析に精力的に取り組んだことで、中小企業の実態と関連企業の役割という重要な論点を発見でき、企業調査では関連企業に注目できたことである。その結果、関連企業と大手統合企業の競争という、①についての重要論点は形をかえつつ現状でも続いていることが確認できた。これは②の解明にとって重要な事実発見であるとともに、さらなる分析の視角ともなる論点であった。しかし、②にとっても資料収集（ことに業界新聞）の遅れは致命的で、補助事業期間の延長を願いでて、引き続きそれに取り組むこととした。
