项目摘要

【研究の目的】共同体論には研究者の「思い入れ」が入り込みやすいと言われる。本研究は沖縄村落共同体像を根本的に見直し、新たな視角を提示することが目的である。本研究代表者は明治後期の奥集落における共同売店の設立を「村落共同体が自らを防衛するために組織したもの」ととらえていた。しかし研究の過程で、むしろ、共同売店を設立し運営していく中で村落共同体が形成されていったのではないか、という疑問を抱くようなっていった。一方で、最近の歴史学の研究においては、近世沖縄村落の生産関係における共同性の脆弱さが強調されるようになっている。23年度もその目的のために、奧集落および真喜屋集落の部落常会記録等の発掘、複写、テキストデータ化を行い考察を進めた。【研究実施計画】4月～12月国頭村奥および名護市（旧羽地村）真喜屋への資料調査・資料の整理・入力作業 11月～3月竹富町西表島、波照間島、奄美大島調査（コロナ渦で中止）琉球近世村落研究関連文献の探査および記録作成。【研究実績】研究の一部は、『自治研』2022年5月号に掲載された「共同売店の変遷と現在ーその理念と精神の可能性―」に発表した。沖縄の共同体の特質は特に「共同売店」の理念とその歴史と現在に具現化されており、共同売店はいわば沖縄の共同体の象徴であるという従来からの私の主張を、「労働者協同組合法」が施工される現在においてどのような意味があるのかを間接的ではあるが記した。最終の研究成果にはそのこともより具体的に発表できたらと考えている。
