2022年度は、新型コロナウイルス感染による影響と規制が2021年度と比較し低下したことで、所期の研究活動のいくつかを実施することができた。第1に、加工・業務用青果物の主な流通チャネルの特徴を把握するために、加工・業務用青果物流通に関与する主体のうち調査研究が遅れている、大手コンビニエンスストアに中食食品を供給する大手ベンダーに対するヒヤリング調査を実施した。第2に、卸売市場業者あるいは市場外業者など、加工・業務用青果物の流通にかかわる事業者に対するヒヤリング調査を実施した。第3に、青果物流通全般さらには最新の流通・消費の動向に明るい研究者との研究交流を行った。また、共同研究者での研究会を実施し、今後の調査の進め方と研究の整理の方向性について議論した。とくに、産地出荷者側の現地実態調査を共同研究者全員の参加により実施し、産地の最新の動向を把握するとともに、実務家との情報交換を行いつつ、研究全体の進め方についての再検討を行った。ただし、生産者や中間流通企業、外食や中食企業などに対するアンケートの実施については、本年度中に実施するに至らなかった。依然として、業界関係者がコロナ禍に伴う多くの経営課題への対応を迫られる中、十分な回収率が期待できないと判断してのことである。とはいえ、アンケート調査の方法や調査票についての検討を行い、2023年度の実施に向けての調整を進めた。以上、アンケート調査は見送ったものの、年度内に複数のヒヤリング調査や研究会を開催することで、最終年度の取り纏めに向けた下地作りを行うことができた。
