项目摘要

地域活性化や特産品等の付加価値向上を目的として,自治体及び市町村等で地域ブランドに対する取組みが行われている.成功事例として多くの事例が紹介されている一方で,地域の事例,取組みを自己の取組みを比較するうえで,認知度等の地域イメージがそれぞれの地域で大きく異なるため,成功要因を比較・分析するうえで課題がある.本研究では,自己組織化マップ（SOM）解析により,1000市町村地域資源・イメージ指標データを用いて,地域イメージやブランド力に影響を及ぼしている項目（自然,歴史,環境,産業,特産など）における共通性の見出し,統計に基づくブランド評価を試みた.そこで本研究では，客観的に存在する事実からそのイメージをビジブルに伝えるツールとして，自己組織化マップ（SOM: Self-Organizing Maps）を利用し，自治体や市町村等の地域ブランドに対する取組みについても適用可能な手法を見出せるかの検証を行った.解析したデータは，ブランド総合研究所が発行する地域ブランド調査報告書を用い，魅力度，認知度，情報接触度，各地域のイメージ（「歴史・文化のまち」など１４項目），情報接触コンテンツ（「旅番組」など１６項目，「ご当地キャラクター」などコンテンツ９項目），観光意欲度，居住意欲度，産品の購入意欲度，地域資源の評価（「街並みや魅力的な建造物がある」など１６項目）について解析した.その結果、自治体のデータを用いて，SOM及びクラスター解析によって，「魅力度」，「認知度」等の分析を行った.その結果，各テーマに関してランキングに現れない自治体間の共通性が見出され，本手法による解析の有効性が示唆された.
