项目摘要

本研究では、全国で最も多くの重要無形民俗文化財を有している秋田県の民俗舞踊に関して、その伝承地の地理的・歴史的背景との関連性を定量的に検討できる解析手法を開発することを目的として研究を進めている。令和4年度は、民俗舞踊の動作特徴を舞踊動作のモーションキャプチャデータから抽出する新たな手法の開発を実施した。具体的には、多数の舞踊演目のモーションキャプチャデータのデータベースに関して、その動作特徴の分布を簡潔に把握できるように、2次元空間における散布図として可視化するための新たな特徴抽出法を提案した。その中では、舞踊動作データを周波数解析し、周波数領域における振幅スペクトルの分布を重み付け積分することによって、それぞれの演目における舞踊動作の「強さ」と「複雑さ」が定量的に抽出される。これら2つの特徴量に関する散布図を作成することにより、それぞれの演目の動作特徴分布を簡潔に可視化することが可能になった。他方で、秋田県内の民俗芸能が伝承されてきた地域の古地図に見られる幾何学的な歪みを定量的に解析することにより、それぞれの地域の地理的な位置関係がどのように認識されていたかに関しての検討も実施した。具体的には、県内全域を走る羽州街道の形状の時代ごとの変化を解析し、特に東西方向の位置関係に関して、県北部では戦国時代の行政に関する区割りの影響が見られるのに対し、県南部では山地等の分布のような地理的な要因および沿岸部と内陸部の気候の差異の影響が見られることが指摘された。
