本研究では、研究初年度のミャンマー現地調査によって入手した陶片試料のうち、青磁らしい美しい色彩を持ち、且つ化学組成分析試験により釉薬に青磁の特徴である鉄が含まれていることが確かめられた３種［試料名：T1・T2・T3 いずれも１５世紀頃のものとされるTwante産のもの］を再現目標と定めた。・本年度は、再現目標の陶片試料の釉の化学組成分析結果から得られたゼーゲル式と、再現実験に使用する陶磁原料の化学組成分析結果を手がかりとして調合した、再現目標に可能な限り近いゼーゲル式を持つ釉を基準とし、SiO2とAl2O3の含有率を少しずつ変えながらの焼成実験及び鉄の含有量を変えながらの焼成実験を行った。また、焼成温度と焼成時の還元の度合いを変えての焼成実験も行った。この結果、試料名T1のオリーブグリーンの釉とT3の黄緑の釉の色彩に近い釉のテストピースをそれぞれ得ることができた。・ミャンマー青磁と中国やタイの青磁との関係について検討した先行研究や、ミャンマー国内における陶磁器生産技術の歴史について記された文献の調査を行った。また、主に中国の龍泉窯青磁（１２世紀から１５世紀にかけてのもの）とミャンマー青磁の比較観察を行った。ミャンマー青磁は周辺諸国の青磁製品から意匠面での影響を受けていると考えられるが、釉調に関して言えば龍泉窯の青磁が半失透ないし失透しているのに対し、ミャンマー青磁の釉は透明度が高いことなど、独特の点があることが分かる。陶磁器の生産に関わる基礎技術面において、周辺諸国との直接的なつながりがあったかどうかは、依然として明らかではない。
