2021年度7月から3月末まで育児休業を取得し、研究を中断していた。そのため、2022年度は、まず、改めて研究の方向性を明確にすべく、国際政治史やアフリカ研究、難民研究に関する先行研究を整理した。それを、"Were the Old Case Loads ‘Protracted Refugees’? Literature Review on the Rwandan Refugees in the 1960s"という仮題の研究ノートにまとめている段階である。本稿では、近年、難民研究で重視されている「長期化する難民状態（protracted refugee situation）」の議論を参照しつつ、1960年代のルワンダ難民が、アフリカ大陸における「長期化する難民状態」の初期の事例であることを指摘し、「長期化する難民状態」に関する研究からルワンダ研究への応用の可能性などを指摘するものである。英文校正を経て、京都大学アフリカ地域研究資料センターが発刊している学術雑誌African Study Monographsに投稿する予定である。また、The International Society for Regional History (ISRH)が2023年9月に開催するウェブナー"Regions from a Historical Perspective"が1960年代のルワンダ難民という本研究のテーマに合致していたため、ペーパー報告を申請した。さらに、2023年度に実施を検討している海外調査に関して、情報を収集した。
