项目摘要

22年度は、世界的な新型コロナウイルス禍による海外渡航規制も落ち着き、おそよ3年ぶりにコンゴ民主共和国に渡航することがかなった。現地滞在期間は3週間程度と短期であったが、調査を中断する直前の2019年に地域住民に対して依頼していた生活記録を回収すると共に、2022年度分の依頼をすることができた。回収した記録については、現在、情報の整理中である。また、現地で研究している日本人ボノボ研究チームと地域住民の有志による密猟対策プロジェクトの経過を視察した。対象地域を流れるコンゴ河の支流を利用した河川流通は、近年再興の兆しを見せている。しかし、それに伴って、下流の都市部から野生獣肉を買い付けに来る商人も見られるようになった。密猟対策プロジェクトでは、有志の地域住民が主体となって許可された狩猟法や場所、動物種などについて研修会を開き、注意喚起を行っている。それとともに、野生獣肉に代わる動物性タンパク源であり収入源ともなりうる家畜と家禽について、安定的な飼育法の確立を目指して飼育小屋の改良案や生育法の検討を行っている。また、今年度はコンゴ民主共和国での調査対象であるボンガンドの生業と森への関わり方の変遷に関するレビュー論文を分担執筆した。本論文は既に受理済みであり、2023年度に出版される予定である。カメルーンでの調査に関しては、2022年2月に出版した単著に関して、東京外国語大学現代アフリカ地域研究センター主催「ASCセミナー」の第68回で依頼を受けて発表した。一般向けのアウトリーチ活動の一環として、コンゴでの調査にまつわるエッセイを寄稿した。内容は、フィールドワークにおける調査対象者と調査者である私の関係について考察したものである。また、カメルーンでの研究についての取材を受け、テレビ出演した（「科学から考える呪術・妖術・シャーマニズム」ガリレオX、BSフジ、2022/12/11、12/17放送）。
