本研究の目的は乳児期発症重症型先天性筋疾患児に対する、意思表出手段の獲得のための支援に留まらない系統的な支援の在り方を検討することである。そのために（１）質問紙調査による全国の当該疾患児童生徒に対する学校教育の現状と課題、担任教員の認識の確認、（２）保護者への面接調査による当該疾患児童生徒の育ちのプロセスに関する知見の蓄積、（３）継続的な教育的係わり合いの実践資料の蓄積を行う計画である。本年度も昨年度までに引き続ぎ、新型コロナ感染症の影響を鑑み、予定していた（１）（２）の質問紙調査や面接調査を中止せざるを得なかった。（３）に関して、筆者自身による教育実践はご家庭の理解もあり訪問を再開し、対象生徒の文字による文章表現の拡大に関する実践を展開し、当該疾患児の生活経験やコミュニケーション経験の制限を踏まえた表出機会の設定等教育的支援の在り方の重要性に関する示唆を得られた。また、昨年度から新たに対象に加えた児童に関しても、視線入力装置を活用した活動の展開が見られ、ベッド上での仰臥位姿勢における機器設定や使用するソフトにおける工夫の重要性が示された。在籍する学校との連携も行う中で、教育課程や学びの場に関わる課題も示された。福島県立須賀川支援学校に在籍する対象児の実践は、筆者による訪問は叶わなかったものの、学校での授業実践は蓄積されており、新型コロナ感染症に関わる病棟での活動制限の中でも、対象猪野意思表出方法を丁寧に分析する中で教師側の読み取りが拡大し、活動が展開することが示された。最終年度は、（1）の質問紙調査及び（２）の面接調査を行い、実践的な知見と合わせて研究全体の取りまとめを行う予定である。
