がん医療の進歩により、毎年約17万人の勤労者が、がんサバイバーとなる。近年、がんに罹患した後も就労を続けたい個人の視点、今後就労者数が減少するなかで活力を維持したい社会の視点から、がんに罹患した人の復職支援（両立支援）が行われている。しかしこのような復職支援（両立支援）の社会的、医療経済学的なインパクトについて、国内外においてほとんど検討が行われていない。そこで本研究では、①がん患者に対する復職支援（両立支援）の社会的、医療経済学的インパクト、②雇用する企業の視点における、復職支援（両立支援）のインパクトを明らかにし、③これらの分析から、復職支援（両立支援）の普及につながる社会的施策の提案を行う。初年次は、①がん患者に対する復職支援（両立支援）の社会的、医療経済学的インパクトの解析を行った。二年次は、引き続き、①がん患者に対する復職支援（両立支援）の社会的、医療経済学的インパクト解析を行った（・初年次に行った労働生産性に関する調査の解析、・がん患者調査よりサバイバーの状況について解析）。②雇用する企業の視点における、復職支援（両立支援）のインパクトを推定：事業所への調査を計画していたが、新型コロナウイルスの拡大により施行が困難であった。三・四年次は、未実施となっていた同調査を計画していたが、感染症の状況が改善せず実施できずなかった。このため文献的数値による推定を継続した。なお事業延長の申請を行い、承認された。五年次にも、未実施となっていた同調査を計画したが、感染症の状況が改善せず実施できずなかった。これについては事業延長の再申請を行い、承認された。加えて地域におけるがんサバイバーの就労状況に関するデータ使用が可能となったため、がんサバイバーのプレゼンティーズムについて分析を行い論文化した。
