未来語りのダイアローグは、心理的あるいは生活上の問題を抱える当事者、家族、多職種の支援者間で連携がうまくいかない、支援が行き詰まっている等、何らかの困難が生じた場合の問題解決のための対話技法である。大きな特徴は、主に支援者の困り事（心配）を取り上げる点である。複数の支援者が関わっているにも関わらず、当事者や家族の状態が改善せず、関係者間の連携もうまく機能しないまま支援者の心配が増大していくという状況は、支援現場で頻回に生じる。未来語りのダイアローグは、こうした状況の解決策として有効である。さらに、未来語りは、専門職間の連携に加え、当事者の日常のサポート・ネットワークがうまく機能することも目指しており、友人や職場関係者など、当事者の日常を支える人達に話し合いに参加してもらう点も特徴的である。本研究においては、成人期の高機能の自閉スペクトラム症（ASD)をもつ人の支援における未来語りのダイアローグの効果検証を行うことを目標とし、介入研究を実施した。最終的に4ケースへの介入を行い、未来語りのダイアローグの実際の場面の録画、ならびに参加者（ASDをもつ当事者、家族、支援者、困り事を抱える支援者、未来語りのダイアローグのファシリテーター、）へのインタビューを実施し、データ収集を終了した。現在は、１.未来語りでは、どのような対話のプロセスが展開されるのか、２.未来語りに参加したASD当事者・家族・支援者は、どのような体験をするのか、３.未来語りを実施した後、ASD当事者・家族・支援者には、どのような変化が生じるのか、４.日本でASD者支援として実施する場合、未来語りの効果的な展開のためにどのような工夫が必要か、の視点で分析と考察をすすめている。
