项目摘要

本研究は、根面う蝕の病因論の着目し、主たる象牙質う蝕細菌であるLactobacillus 属とPropionibacterium acidifaciens の相互作用を解明し、その機序に基づいたう蝕予防法の開発を行うことを目的とした。平成30年度は、P. acidifaciens のう蝕原性の解明の継続となったので、その内容を報告する。これまで、P. acidifaciens のう蝕原性として、以下のことを報告した。1. 唾液による菌体凝集は生じない。2. 他の口腔常在細菌と共凝集しない。3. ハイドロキシアパタイトへの付着は認められない。4. コラーゲンへの強い結合が認められる。5. 他の口腔常在細菌に生育を阻害される。この要因として過酸化水素が考えられるが、過酸化水素非産生菌に関してはさらなる検討が必要。6.酸（P. acidifaciens 及びStreptococcus mutans が産生する主な4種類）により、ある程度の濃度以上では生育が阻害される。酸の種類により、その酸の影響に差がある。平成30年度は、さらに、トランスウェルシステムを用いたdual-species assay によりP. acidifaciens のバイオフィルム形成に及ぼす影響を検討し、P. acidifaciens のバイオフィルム形成に関して以下のことを明らかとした。7. S. mutans により阻害される。8. 象牙質に含まれるⅠ型コラーゲンにより促進される。これらのP. acidifaciens のう蝕原性に関してまとめ、論文を作成し、投稿中である。Lactobacillus 属とPropionibacterium acidifaciens の相互作用の解明を目的とした本研究であったが、研究代表者の所属研究機関退職に伴う資格消失により、本研究費助成事業中断となった。
