项目摘要
本研究の目的は,巨視的な物体も記述できるような拡張量子力学の理論を実験的に検証することである.量子力学を巨視スケールにまで拡張した理論の枠組みの一つとして,質量が存在することによって量子的性質が失われるという,重力デコヒーレンスと呼ばれる考え方が提案されている.それに対して,本研究では,CSL (Continuous Spontaneous Localization)模型と呼ばれる理論に注目し,その検証を行う.CSL模型は,巨視的な物体では「測定」という操作が量子状態に影響を与えないような理論であり,微視的な極限では通常の量子力学におけるシュレディンガー方程式に帰着し,粒子数の多い極限では測定に依存しない結果を与えるという理論である.非相対論的な質点の力学しか記述できないなど,物理学の理論としては不十分な点も多いが,現在までに数学的な矛盾は見つかっておらず,従来の量子力学を拡張する可能性を持った理論模型である.2022年度には,CSLモデル検証実験の再セットアップを進めた.地面振動や空気の揺らぎの影響が大きいことが明らかになっていたことから,設計を見直した.真空中におかれた懸架系で独立に懸架された2つの鏡で光共振器を構成し,2つのレーザー光を双方から入射する系を設計・製作し,それら全体を安定に動作させることに成功した.レーザー干渉計の基線長変動,鏡の角度変動など,動作に用いる制御系の特性の評価も進め,適切に動作していることを確認した.
The purpose of this study is to describe the macroscopic object and to prove the theory of quantum mechanics.
