项目摘要

【本年度収集した資料】①海軍志願兵に関する宣伝活動について調査するために、海軍関係の雑誌・ポスター類の収集を行った。国立歴史民俗博物館や日本近代文学館などで調査を行い、研究へとつなげた。②従来検討を進めていた対象に加えて、アジア・太平洋戦争期に各地に設置された常設の海洋訓練機関である海洋道場についても検討を行う必要性を感じ、調査研究を行った。特に愛知県を事例として検討し、下山村青年学校関係資料や田口農林学校関係資料などを調査した。また、東幡豆にあった海洋道場の建物は現存しており、海洋道場に隣接する妙善寺の住職が当時の様子を覚えていたため、聞き取り調査も行い、海洋道場の設置経緯や訓練の様子についての知見を深めた。【本年度の成果】・昨年度重点的に取り組んだ在郷軍人会と海軍との関係性についての論文を『史学雑誌』に投稿し、掲載することができた。また、従来から取り組んでいた地方海軍人事部についての研究を成果としてまとめ、『日本歴史』に投稿し、掲載決定を得ることができた。海洋道場については、特に愛知県を事例に調査した成果を『西尾市史研究』に掲載することができた。・アジア・太平洋戦争期に何故海軍志願兵数を急増させる必要があったのかを、海軍省人事局関係資料を用いて明らかにし、日本史研究会の近現代史部会で報告した。また、雑誌やポスターの収集をふまえた上で、アジア・太平洋戦争期における海軍志願兵宣伝について研究報告を行った。
