本年度の研究実施状況は当初の計画通り進んだ。すなわち、初年度に調査したスポレート司教で枢機卿のベラルド・エロリについてまとめた後、《受胎告知》場面以外のマリア伝についても調査を行い、検討を進めた。2018年8月後半には、本調査の最後の海外調査を英国のロンドンで行った。最も多くの二次資料が一箇所に集中して蓄積されているため、壁画伝全体を検討する上で最善の調査場所であるとの見解に基づいたものであった。調査は主にロンドン市内の研究機関（Warburg Institute, V&A National Library, British Library, National Gallery Library）で行われた。その他オクスフォードでは、ボードリアン図書館で調査を行い、またChrista von Teuffel博士、Julian Gardner教授と再会し、研究についてのご助言をいただく機会が与えられた。この調査では、博論をまとめるための細部の資料を得ると同時に、研究を深めることができた。帰国後、引き続き博士論文執筆を進め、同年11月には慶應義塾大学に招聘された、カール・ブランドン・シュトレールキ、フィラデルフィア美術館名誉学芸員と再会し（フィレンツェで2017年秋にすでに面会済。一次史料書き起こしの専門家を紹介いただいた）、論文全般について、形式内容両面で指導をいただき、執筆中の論文等に反映させることができた。同月、論文執筆等の草稿を指導教授に提出し、その上で提出予定論文の推敲・校正を引き続き行った。その後、2019年2月には、博士論文を提出し、受理された。
