项目摘要

今年度は、19世紀フィンランドにおける代表的な国民的アイデンティティの構築者として位置付けられてきたサカリアス・トペーリウス（Zacharias Topelius, 1818-1898）に注目し、彼の歴史叙述における「フィンランドのフォルク」概念について検討してきた。研究途上で自治時代（1809-1917）の知識人による「フィンランド国民」概念形成は、ロシア帝国におけるフィンランド大公国の地位の擁護の論理との関係の中で検討する必要があると考え、後者に関わる史料や先行研究の調査にも時間を割いた。得られた成果については、まず、6月21日のロシア史研究会2022年度第1回例会で「サカリアス・トペーリウスの「フィンランド国民」概念：1860 年代の議論から」という題で報告し、ロシア帝国の境界地域であったフィンランド大公国の事例について、ロシア史の研究者と共に有意義な議論を行った。続いて、8月1日に発行された『現代思想』8月号（第50巻第10号）に「研究手帖十九世紀フィンランドにおける国民形成」を掲載した。10月1日には、2022年度早稲田大学史学会大会西洋史部会で「ロシア皇帝とフィンランド住民の「契約」：ボルゴー議会の契約説の誕生と受容」という題の研究報告を行った。ここでは、イギリス史、中・東欧史などの専門家と意見交換することができた。年度末には、次年度に行うことが既に決定しているバルト=スカンディナヴィア研究会例会での研究報告の準備と次年度投稿予定の論文執筆を進めた。

The history of Central and Eastern Europe and the exchange of views between the two countries At the end of the year, the next year, the preparation of the research report and the writing of the paper scheduled for the next year are decided.
