A study on research governance for multi-institutional joint longitudinal research

研究治理有三个要点：遵从性、原则和良好实践的标准。原则包括明确的目标、研究组织和决策过程。良好的实践需要标准操作程序（sop）、对研究协调员的教育以及研究人员之间的良好沟通。日本大多数多机构联合纵向研究人员都以各自的方式遵循这些指导方针。它们还设立委员会来决定伦理、法律和社会问题，尽管机构审查委员会和评估委员会已经独立成立。这些研究人员为研究协调员举办讲习班，以更好地理解标准操作程序并避免风险。外联也是获得公众信任的重要行为。

Research governance has three essential points: compliance, principles, and standards of good practice. Principles include clear aims, research organization, and decision-making processes. Standard operating procedures (SOPs), education for research coordinators, and good communication among researchers are needed for good practices. Most multi-institutional joint longitudinal researchers in Japan follow these guidelines in their individual ways. They also establish committees to determine ethical, legal, and social issues, although institutional review boards and evaluation committees have been established independently. These researchers conduct workshops for research coordinators to understand SOPs well and to avoid risks. Outreach is also conducted as an important act to gain public trust.
