'Vindicta' (Vengeance resp. Punishment) as a Security Issue (B07)

“复仇”的意思是复仇和复仇惩罚，因此指出了一个矛盾的事实：一方面，复仇部分地融入了中世纪晚期德意志帝国的法律体系，但另一方面，它作为任何类型的任意暴力，对和平构成了威胁。该项目以明显的神学文献为基础，分析了用于区分合法和非法暴力或将普遍的任意暴力和特别是复仇行为证券化的试探法和曲目。

„Vindicta“ means vengeance as well as revenging punishment and thus points to an ambivalence fact: On the one hand, vengeance was partially integrated in the legal system of the late medieval German Reich, on the other hand, however, it presented – as any type of arbitrary violence – a threat to peace. On the basis of notably theological texts, the project analyses heuristics and repertoires which were applied to distinguish between legitimate and illegitimate violence or to securitize arbitrary violence in general and vengeance in particular.
