本研究課題では、内集団成員が外集団成員から攻撃されたときに生じる集合感情である「代理的怒り」が生じた際に、代理的怒りと相反する性質を持つと考えられる「代理的感謝」を喚起することで両感情を競合させる方法を提案することを目指す。この目的を果たすため、本年度は、（１）代理的感謝の喚起方法を確立、（２）代理的感謝が代理的怒りと相反する性質を持つか、すなわち外集団成員に対する利他行動を促すかについて検討、という2点に関してシナリオ実験を実施した。この実験は、令和３年度に実施したシナリオ実験の補足をするものであった。利他行動について、令和３年度に実施した実験では、外集団成員に対する利他行動のみを測定したが、令和４年度はこれに加えて、内集団に対する利他行動を測定したほか、外集団成員に対する利他行動を２種類測定した。具体的には、集合的感謝を喚起した外集団に対するものと、第三集団に対する利他行動に対するものを測定した。実験はデータ収集を調査委託会社に依頼し、WEB上で実施した。得られたデータについては、成果公表にむけて現在分析中である。また、令和４年度には、研究成果を学会発表し、集団間相互作用における集合的感情の効果や、その操作方法等について意見交換することができた。令和３年度に実施したシナリオ実験の結果は、現在学術論文として執筆中である。令和４年度に実施したシナリオ実験は、令和３年度に実施したものと大きく目的が重複するため、これらをまとめて１つの知見として公表することも検討している。
