In second year of the project, a deep study of laser near-field reduction of metallic ions was conducted.At first, a novel gold precursor, containing chloroauric acid and trisodium citrate, was developed. The laser beam irradiation though glass microspheres enabled focusing the laser beam at the backside of microsphere to form hollow gold nanostructures due to the laser reduction of gold ions. Significantly, I found that adding molybdenum disulfide quantum dots into the gold precursor, the reduction rate of gold ions was highly improved because of photochemical effect.Finally, we tested the selectivity of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) using fabricated metallic superstructure array.
