本研究では妊娠期の栄養摂取状態がその児の口腔内細菌叢形成、及びその児の成長・発育への関連を縦断で検討することを目的としている。出生した児と母親を3歳まで追跡する前向きのコホート研究を活用し、市で実施する1歳半健診時(1歳8か月時に実施)と、3歳児健診（3歳8か月時に実施）に唾液採取、生活習慣に関する質問紙調査、健診記録の取得を行っている。今年度は昨年度に引き続き、1歳半健診時の母・児の調査、および調査対象児が3歳児健診対象となったため、3歳児健診での母・児の調査を開始した。今年度末で累積の唾液採取件数は母、妊娠期599件・産後1か月412件・産後1年半254件・産後3年半89件、児、生後1か月41件・1歳半254件・3歳半91件となった。次年度も母・児の調査を継続して実施する予定である。細菌叢解析は妊娠期、産後1か月、産後1歳半の母についての解析を実施し、妊娠期と産後1カ月では細菌叢構成が異なること、妊娠期と産後1年半では菌種の特徴が異なることを明らかにした。また、妊娠期の喫煙、受動喫煙の妊婦の口腔内細菌叢は喫煙の暴露がない妊婦の口腔内細菌叢と違いがあることについて明らかにした。次年度は唾液サンプルのメタゲノム解析数を増やし、妊娠中の母親の栄養摂取状況や食習慣の違いによる母・児の口腔内細菌叢の違いについて解析を行う予定である。母親の妊娠期の食事摂取状況から児の口腔内細菌叢や成長との関連を明らかにすることは、児の成長後の肥満・生活習慣病予防に重要である。
