项目摘要

本研究課題「三宅尚斎の思想形成に関する基礎的研究」は、個別に思想分析が進められてきた三宅尚斎に対して従来の研究の立脚点とされる資料から見直すことで、尚斎とその周辺の学者の思想に再検討を加えんとするものである。本年度（2022年度）は、九州大学所蔵資料を中心にデータ収集と資料分析を行った。それに加え、宮崎県高鍋町立高鍋図書館所蔵・明倫堂文庫内の「三宅子全書」のデータを入手し分析を加えた。尚斎の資料は、近代に入って資料集成が進み全集として活字化された闇斎や同時代の著名な他門人（佐藤直方・浅見絅斎）の資料とは異なり、写本形態の資料で全国に散在したまま未だ手が付けられておらず、刊本や翻刻資料等の二次資料に頼らざるを得ない状況であると言える。尚斎の資料に対しても、門流の留守希斎・永井以保らが「三宅子全書」として集成する試みがあったものの、その後今日まで実現せずその目録が残るのみであった。前述した明倫堂文庫所蔵資料は、「三宅子全書」目録に取り上げられた筆記類の大部を保存している点で尚斎研究に有益な重要資料だと評価することができる。それのみならず、外表紙の書き込みからは、「三宅子全書」目録に従って所蔵資料を整理し、一個の叢書として整備しようとした跡を確認した。さらに書誌学的検討を加える必要はあるが、尚斎門流の学者が教鞭を執ったとされる高鍋藩明倫堂において、尚斎の写本資料の残存を確認したことは、本研究にとって重要な意義を持つ。以上の資料発見について、九州大学宋明思想検討会で研究報告を行った（口頭発表）。本資料自体の研究と精読に加え、周辺資料や藩史料からのアプローチを進めることで由緒を明らかにし、一次資料としての位置づけを進めることを今後の課題とする。
