戦前に開館した博物館や研究所が蔵する古写真（デジタル化されたデータベースを含む）のうち、東京国立博物館および東京文化財研究所の所蔵分を閲覧し、全体像の把握に努めた。仏像の写真を用いて製作された絵はがきについては、松田福一郎旧蔵資料（個人蔵）にふくまれる絵はがき数十枚を高精細デジタル一眼レフカメラで複写し、データベースへの登録と印字された文字情報等の翻刻をおこなった。松田旧蔵資料の古写真数百枚についても、同様に高精細デジタル一眼レフカメラでデータ化し、登録した。売立目録については東文研未所蔵の目録や掲載作品に関する情報収集を継続的におこない、既存の報告書（山口隆介「彫刻史研究と売立目録」『売立目録デジタルアーカイブの公開と今後の展望―売立目録の新たな活用を目指して―』東京文化財研究所、2021年）の増補改訂を進めた。このほか、古写真に写る奈良ゆかりの仏像２件を調査および写真撮影を実施し、あわせて伝来に関する資料調査をおこなった。
