项目摘要

等位構造・付加構造の真の統一的説明に向けて検索Σという操作に着目した。研究を進める中で、等位構造・付加構造を検索Σから説明するにはまず検索Σがどのような特徴を持っているのか、その解明が必要であることが判明したため、検索Σについて精査した研究成果を国際学会 (First International Conference on Biolinguistics of the UQTR (2022年6月25日))と国内学会(日本英語学会第40回大会 (2022年11月5日)) で口頭発表を行った。また、後者の口頭発表の内容を修正・発展させたものが研究発表論文集JELS40 (p.8-14) に掲載された（2023年2月28日発行）。これらの研究成果は、検索Σの具現化と捉えられるコピー形成操作 (FormCopy) が一致 (agreement) 現象、束縛 (binding) 現象、虚辞 (expletive) 表現や空演算子 (null operator)に関わっている可能性を示したものである。
