Transportation Sector and Their Impact on International Trade

我完成了研究项目的第一阶段目标，即对理论框架的假设和预测进行检验，以确认实证规律性的原因，并完成了四篇论文的完整初稿，其中一篇已经发表。我在《日本与世界经济》上发表了题为《交通基础设施与贸易》的论文。我正在向该杂志提交题为《运输业价格歧视和贸易收益》的工作论文之一，并在学术会议上分发其他论文，以进一步改进。在方法论方面，该项目提供了一个新的理论贸易模型，能够适应更程式化的事实。然后，它使用现有数据来揭示非线性定价现象的原因，在此基础上，该项目提供了一个可量化的框架来评估世界实际问题。

I complete the first stage target of the research project which is testing the assumptions and predictions of the theoretical framework to confirm the cause of the empirical regularity and finish writing the complete draft of four papers, one out of which is already published. I published the paper entitled "Transportation Infrastructure and Trade" at Japan and the World Economy. I am submitting one of the working papers entitled Price Discrimination in the Transport Industry and the Gains from Trade to the journal and circulating the others in the academic conferences for further improvements. Methodology-wise the project provides a new theoretical trade model capable to accommodate more stylized facts. Then it uses available data to unravel the cause of the nonlinear pricing phenomenon, on top of which, the project offers a quantifiable framework to assess the world real issue.
