①障害者による芸術活動を取り扱った新聞記事調査本年度は、読売新聞のデータベース(以後DBと記す)に収録されている障害者による芸術活動について取り扱った記事数の経年推移を調査した。1990年～2023年までの朝夕刊を調査対象とし、これまでに25年分の調査が完了した。障害者による芸術活動を取り扱った記事数が総記事数に占める割合は、1900年代と2010年代のいずれも後期に急激な増加傾向を示した。しかし、これらの期間に対し「社会の関心が急激に高まった時期」と位置付けることは危険である。読売新聞DBは、それまでの東京都民版に加え、1997年5月～2001年3月までに各地域版の収録を拡大している。従って、1990年代後期の急激な増加の要因については、DBの収録範囲拡大の影響について更なる調査が必要である。②国民を対象とした意識調査本年度は、質問項目の作成と改善を図り、調査実施に向けた準備を行った。質問内容は、障害者による芸術活動への関心と、障害者による芸術活動と芸術活動を行う障害者への態度に分類し具体的な質問項目を作成した。今後は、調査委託会社を決定し、調査実施に向け具体的な打ち合わせを行う計画である。
